Renfe will recover during the month of October the Madrid-Castellón High Speed service and nine Cercanías services on line C-6 that connects Valencia and the capital of La Plana. This return occurs once the works carried out by Adif AV to complete the implementation of the international gauge have been completed.
So, As of October 7, Renfe will put into circulation 4 daily AVE trains, 2 in each direction, between both cities. Two AVE trains will depart daily from Castelló de la Plana, one at 6.15 am -Monday to Friday- and 7.02 am -Saturday and Sunday- and the second service at 2.15 pm, towards Madrid Puerta de Atocha. In the opposite direction, two services will circulate daily, departing from Madrid at 9.40 am and 7.40 pm. The offer supposes 1,388 places per day.
As of October 7, the global offer will be 4 daily AVE services -2 in each direction-, 2 Intercity -1 in each direction Friday / Sunday- that connect Madrid and Castelló de la Plana with intermediate stops in Cuenca, Requena and València, in addition to the Alvia service that runs the Castelló de la Plana-Madrid-León-Gijón route.
Also, as of October 5, Renfe will recover nine Cercanías services on line C-6, with which the services of this line are extended in 5 circulations between Castelló de la Plana and València, and 4 in the opposite direction. The global offer will consist of a total of 62 circulations, in both directions, of which 54 are Cercanías trains and 8 are Medium Distance trains.
Renfe has planned recover all services of Cercanías between València and Castellón de la Plana at the end of October, once the work carried out by Adif AV is finished.
