The “normality” is making its way in the operation of Renfe and the public operator has announced the progressive recovery of so-called tourist trains thematic that the company manages in collaboration with various tourist institutions and entities.
Specifically, in a statement, the recovery of the Wine Train, the Castilla Canal Train and the Zorrilla Train, managed together with the Valladolid Provincial Council and the City Council of this Castilian city.
The trains of Teresa de Ávila and Antonio Machado, which Renfe manages in collaboration with the municipalities of Ávila and Segovia, also return to circulation. Both initiatives, in the words of the company, “also offer travelers the opportunity to discover the cultural and gastronomic heritage of both cities.”

The last Saturdays of each month, until December 19, the Wine Train will circulate between Madrid and Valladolid thanks to a collaboration agreement reached between Renfe and the Diputación de Valladolid.
It is a round trip by Avant train between the two cities and, in Valladolid, a visit to one of the six routes framed in the respective designations of origin of the area: Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Cigales and Toro. Already in the Castilian capital, travelers are welcomed in the Valladolid station by an actor and a tour guide, from where they take the bus to enjoy a cultural and gastronomic day with wine tourism as the main protagonist. It also includes visits and complementary activities, different for each date: July 25, August 29, September 26, October 31, November 28 and December 19.
The price of this combined trip, which includes train and bus trips, visits to the wineries, food and complementary activities, has a price of 99 euros for adults and 79 for children.
Castilla Canal Train
Navigating the Canal de Castilla, an engineering work from the 18th century and the only navigable in Spain, is the possibility that Renfe offers, in collaboration with the Diputación de Valladolid, with the Castilla Canal Train.
It is a combination of train and boat scheduled for Sundays August 2, September 6, October 4, November 1 and December 6. The ticket for this trip, which costs 49.80 euros for adults and 37.30 euros for children, includes the round trip by Avant train (the return can be postponed until Sunday of the same weekend), guided tours (until full capacity is reached) and visits to the various museums in the city.
Teresa de Ávila and Antonio Machado trains
In the case of Train of Teresa de Ávila, offers cultural proposals such as a visit to the Capriotto Collection, the Superunda Palace, the Post-medieval Ovens, the Jewish Tanneries or the Avila wall itself. The trips are made between the Madrid station of Príncipe Pío and Ávila every Saturday in the months of August, September and October on Media Distancia trains.
