Renfehas canceled 46 trains of those initially scheduled for this Wednesday, April 17,the strike called in Adif by CCOO and the Circulation Syndicatefor that day, which coincides with the 'exit operation' of Holy Week.
Of the total trains that are canceled for that day,19 are AVE and Long Distance trains, and the remaining 27, of Average Distance(regional), according to the operator.
Suspended circulations represent around 5% of those routinely scheduled by Renfe for that day, one of the busiest travelers of the year.
The minimum services decreed before these calls guarantee 95% of the services, according to the railway company.
In concrete, CCOO has summoned the workers of Adif to support this Wednesday a day of strike inprotest for the delay that accumulates the final approval of the new collective agreementof the company, agreed between the management of the titular company and manager of the railway network and the unions at the end of last year.
In parallel, the Circulation Syndicate has also called on the 'railway controllers' to support a strike on the same day, also forTo denounce that "the workers of Adif and Adif Alta Velocidad have been without a collective agreement since January 1"because "the Ministries of Development and Finance have not authorized the pre-agreement that was signed on December 27, 2018."
"This situation, which in itself generates a justified insecurity about the working conditions of any employee, also means that the negotiations of important issues contemplated in the agreement have been paralyzed, such as the reduction of working hours and mobility," says training.
