Renfe recommends the use of alternative transport in Madrid, except on line C-5 (Móstoles El Soto-Atocha-Fuenlabrada-Humanes), due to the “non-compliance” of the minimum services that is being registered in Cercanías Madrid during the strike day of 24 hours summoned this Tuesday by the union of machinists Semaf.
At 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the Recoletos and Sol tunnels were fully congested, which has caused the temporary closure of the Cercanías de Sol station, as reported by the company in a statement.
“These breaches of minimum services by Semaf are causing widespread delays in service and numerous problems at the Atocha and Chamartín stations,” they pointed out.
In this sense, Renfe has apologized “to the travelers who are suffering the consequences of the strike called by SEMAF and the unjustified non-compliance of the minimum services by the drivers.”
Files opened “false”
For their part, from Semaf they affirm that the machinists who have received a letter of minimum services have gone to their job. “We studied the false files opened in order to hide the mismanagement of Renfe’s management”, they point out in their official profile on the social network Twitter.
