Barcelona, Mar 4 (EFE) .- Relatives and friends of Álex Casademunt, some of them from the first edition of “Operación Triunfo”, have said goodbye to the singer, actor and television presenter at the ceremony that took place this Thursday in the Mataró funeral home (Barcelona).
Álex Casademunt died on Tuesday at the age of 39 when the tourism driving with a bus on line 5 of the Mataró Bus service collided head-on, which was without passengers and at that time was passing over a bridge over the Ronda de Mataró (C-32 ).
The accident took place at 9:44 p.m. on the Cirera road and this morning, at the point where it occurred, some followers have laid flowers in memory of the singer.
Around 2:00 p.m., the interpreter’s family and friends began to arrive at the burning chapel installed in the funeral home, such as his parents, his brothers Joan and Cristina, his partner, Judit Puig, or the mother of his 3-year-old daughter, Laia. , who was the first to appear.
Joan Casademunt has addressed the media to thank all the expressions of support and affection that the family has received and has dedicated some heartfelt words to her brother.
“It is the hardest moment of my life and that of many of my family (…) Alex would be very proud to see all this,” said Joan, to which he added, visibly moved: “A part of me is dead”.
Álex Casademunt’s colleagues in the first edition of “Operación Triunfo” also wanted to say goodbye and the ceremony was attended by, among others, David Bustamante, David Bisbal, Manu Tenorio, Javián, Verónica Romero, Geno Machado, Rosa López, Gisela and Nuria Fergó.
Bisbal has declared that, for him, it has been “very hard everything that has been lived today”, while Bustamante, who has been devastated and broken with pain, has not been able to contain the emotion when arriving at the burning chapel and has hugged the singer’s mother.
Chenoa and Natalia moved to Barcelona on Wednesday with their companions to accompany the Casademunt family, although they have not been able to attend the ceremony due to personal and professional commitments.
Other well-known faces, such as the ex-contestant of “Big Brother” and friend of the interpreter Marta López or the singer Merche, Casademunt’s ex-partner, have also made an appearance.
The remains of Álex Casademunt will be cremated after the mass celebrated this Thursday in his memory.
