The renowned sailor Pedro Mujica has passed away in the early afternoon of this Sunday while he was sailing on his boat from the Club Nautico de Las Palmas of Gran Canaria to Puerto Rico.
Pedro Mujica participated this Saturday as skipper of the Chacalote boat in the Canary Latina Vela competition. He was also one of the Gran Canaria sailors who competed even in cInco occasions in the popular ARC regattas.
The world of sailing in Gran Canaria has echoed the news through their social networks, in which they show their surprise at the sudden news, as well as their sincere condolences to the family.
This is the case of the Canarian Sailing Federation, whose president, Joaquín Blanco Roca, has transferred on behalf of his fellow board members, technicians and staff in general, the regret for the bad news to his family, friends and sailors.
The Latin Sailing Federation has also spread the news and expressed its condolence.
