The International Master Raúl Claverie managed to win the title of champion in the XXV Virgen del Pino Blitz Tournament by adding eight points out of eleven possible. The Argentine won in his first five games and signed a final leg of the tournament with six consecutive tables that earned him the title.
Uzbek International Master Abdimalik Abdisalimov also had an excellent competition; he reached the same eight points to occupy the second drawer of the podium. Meanwhile, the Andalusian FIDE Master Cristian Silva, with the same score as the previous one, achieved third place.
The maximum equality that was registered in the Terorense tournament is demonstrated with the fourth position of Gabriel Quispe from Madrid, Youth FIDE Master, who also added eight points.
Everything had to be resolved with the bucholz. Four players tied for the top positions beating the copper with the nine Grand Masters (with a total of 28 graduates) who took part in the oldest blitz in the Archipelago and which honors the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands. This time it took place virtually and brought together players of 14 different nationalities. Omar García, tenth, was the best canary.
