Spanish coach Quique Sanchez Flores will be the next coach of Shanghai Shenhua, the first division of Chinese football, as officially announced by the entity.
Quique Sánchez Flores, who he was without a team after finishing his commitment with Espanyol last season, will take the place of coach Wu Jingui, who had placed the whole of Shanghai in the eleventh place in the standings.
The Spanish coach arrives at his new destination accompanied by five assistants: Antonio Díaz and the Englishman Dean Austin as assistants, along with the coach of goalkeepers Emilio López Fernández, the physical trainer Oscar Antonio and the technical analyst Cote Gallardo.
The Shanghai Shenhua will be the ninth professional team for the Spanish coach, who previously led Getafe, Valencia, Portuguese Benfica, Atlético Madrid, Al-Ahli and Al Ain, from the United Arab Emirates, English Watford and Espanyol, his last team.
The Shanghai Shenhua is part of the highest category of Chinese football and its staff includes players such as Colombians Giovanni Moreno and Fredy Guarin, Paraguayan Oscar Romero and Senegalese Demba Ba.
