Quim Torra decrees mourning in Catalonia today and tomorrow by floods in Mallorca

The president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, has decreed two days of mourning in Catalonia, today and tomorrow, due to the floods in Mallorca, which have caused twelve deaths for now.

In a statement released last night, the Department of the Presidency of the Generalitat announces that today and tomorrow the flags will fly at half mast in the buildings and dependencies of the Generalitat and in the public corporations of Catalonia, as a sign of mourning and in remembrance and homage to the victims of the severe floods in the Balearic Islands.

With this gesture, the Government wants to declare "their grief and join the decree of October 10 of the Government Council of the Balearic Islands, as a joint expression with the families of the victims and affected people."
