Puig will take "measures" in the Palau de Valencia after the statement of the tenor

The president of the Generalitat, the socialist Ximo Puig, has said he did not know "still" the terms of the statement sent by the tenor Plácido Domingo, in which he assumes his responsibility around the accusations of sexual abuse against him and added that when proceed "appropriate measures will be taken".

This is how he responded when asked at a press conference in Alicante in case it is considered that the name of Plácido Domingo should be deleted from the name of the Center for Improvement of the Palau de les Arts de València.

According to Puig, "at the moment in which" everything related to this matter is known "the appropriate measures will be taken".

After participating in an educational event in the Digital District of Alicante, he said that he still "had no news" of the document submitted by Domingo, in which he apologizes "for the pain caused" to the women who have accused him.

However, the Valencian president has indicated that he will study the matter as the investigation progresses.

The Plácido Domingo Center for the Improvement of the Palau de les Arts promotes the training of singers and musicians from all over the world and seeks to promote the professional insertion of lyric singers.
