HePublic Employees Union of the Canary Islands(SEPCA) has announced that they will launch labor mobilizations in all the islands "in the face of inactivity, the inability to negotiate management and the lack of respect for all personnel at the service of the Administration of the Autonomous Community when dealing with different issues basic work ".
SEPCA has explained in a note thathave repeatedly submitted proposalsto deal with the different negotiation forums, but from the Government of the Canary Islands "ignore them or make absurd detours to avoid treating them or to obtain economic benefit, as it happens with the maintenance of the retributive discounts to personnel in situations of illness".
In addition to that "burdensome" matter and theregulation of the actual day of 35 hours,the salary comparison in extraordinary payments between the civil servant and labor personnel, the promotion of the professional career with the launching of a direct internal promotion and the creation of reserve lists, with own personnel of General Administration of the Autonomous Community for the coverage of vacancies, are some of the "unavoidable" matters and that SEPCA demands immediate implementation.
Equally, this union defends "the urgent negotiation of a permanency plan for the non-permanent personnel of the Administration, in order to guarantee the employment stability of thousands of workers in that situation – for reasons only attributable to the different governments – and now they see their jobs in danger because of a nonsense of agreement signed at the national level, by unions that are not by far the majority in the public administration of the Canary Islands ".
In SEPCA they state thatthey are "tired of waiting without seeing the government take a single step"; For this reason, they will begin to mobilize staff this fall, warning that they will not continue to "wait" for the government "to be interested in sending – as always before the elections – a candy wrapped in the ballot paper."
