I don’t like the offer. The board of directors of Prisa Group, meeting today in an extraordinary way, has said no to the businessman’s proposal Blas Herrero of buying the company’s media division. According to sources consulted by ABC, several important shareholders of the group have frontally opposed the offer made by the Asturian businessman.
The owner of Kiss FM yesterday launched an offer to buy the press and radio assets of Grupo Prisa, including El País or Cadena Ser. From Prisa they confirmed to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that they had received a letter signed by Herrero dated Wednesday , as well as an email detailing the employer’s offer. The communication indicated that this proposal “has not been requested by Prisa and according to its own terms, it is not binding until certain conditions are met.”
