The unions CSIF, Sindicato Libre, UGT and CCOO, organizations that account for 85% of the representation of the 57,000 postal workers, have finalized a mobilization calendar already set out months ago in which they insist on strikes 24 hours during the "Black Friday" of November 30 and the Christmas campaign, December 21 and 26.
Before, between the 5th and the 16th of November, Postal unions have planned concentrations, with three-hour work stoppages per shift, in the subdelegations of the Government in the capitals of each autonomous community, whose results will depend if they continue with the aforementioned strike days.
The union forces demand 230 million euros for the provision of the Universal Postal Service (SPU) because they consider that have suffered a "huge cut" in the last two years in the state company Correos.
They also denounce that postal workers have been without a Collective Agreement for five years, more than ten years with a frozen salary and with precarious work that amount to 35% of eventuality and 22% of part-time contracts.
In the opinion of the unions, these situations cause that the quality of the service and the citizenship "are the big ones affected by so much deterioration". EFE
