POLITICAL MINUTE | First control session to the Coalition Government in Congress
The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, will attract this Wednesday all the prominence of the first session of control of the Congress to the Government of this legislature. The meeting that more than two weeks ago, at the Madrid-Barajas airport, had with the Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, as well as the explanations given in this regard by both the minister himself and by colleagues of the Executive, has been the reason that PP, Cs and Vox have found to begin their control function.
It is foreseeable that the flow of criticism and allusions will be initiated by the leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, despite the fact that his question to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, is about the rule of law. This predicts that the proposal will be brought up so that former Minister Dolores Delgado is the State's attorney general.
More concrete is the question of the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, because he will question Sanchez about that meeting with number two of Nicolás Maduro.
The third question to the president will be made by ERC spokesman Gabriel Rufián. The text of the question asks for clarification on how the Government will fight against "the rise of fascism."
Ábalos, while Sanchez responds, will be in his seat awaiting the three questions (two from the PP and one from Cs) that will be asked a few minutes later, as well as the interpellation that, after asking the members of the Executive, will ask PP spokesman in Congress, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo.
