Plácido Domingo is stable in a hospital in Acapulco by COVID-19

Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo is stable after testing positive for COVID-19 at a hospital in Acapulco, a coastal city in southern Mexico, the singer's official spokesperson confirmed to Efe on Saturday.

"His condition is stable and he will remain in the hospital as long as doctors deem it necessary until an expected full recovery," the spokeswoman wrote in an email, without giving further details or specifying the clinic where she is located.

The Madrid tenor (1941) announced last Sunday through his social networks that he had tested positive for COVID-19 after being tested for symptoms such as cough and fever, although he also clarified that "he is in good health."
