The pandemic has placed the spotlight on problems that, until now, have gone unnoticed. One of them is chronic patients, often ignored when medicine fails to explain their symptoms. Numerous studies have tried to quantify, understand and even define the so-called persistent Covid, but some researchers criticize that it has not been done rigorously enough. Others hope that the coronavirus will serve as an excuse to remove the issue of persistent symptoms from oblivion.
