Pensioners receive compensatory pay for the deviation of the CPI of 2018 - La Provincia
The Government has paid the pensioners on Wednesdayadditional single payment for the CPI deviation in 2018regarding the rise experienced by their pensions at the beginning of last year, which will have a cost for the Executive of123.4 million euros,As reported by the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security on Wednesday.
Pensions rose by 1.6% in 2018, but prices stood at 1.7%(December 2017 to November 2018), which has compensated more than 9.3 million pensions for that difference of one tenth. The amount of this compensatory payment for an average pension is 13 euros.
This year the Government has extended this additional payment to 194,393 family benefits for dependent children, over 18 years of age and disability equal to or greater than 65%, for which it has allocated just over one million euros.
This additional compensation, which is done independently andprior to the regular payment of the monthly pension for February, it has been applied to retirement, disability, widowhood and orphanage pensions; minimum pensions in all its modalities, SOVI and non-contributory.
