New 'pay' extra. Pensioners with early retirement will be able to receive a new 'paguilla' in the coming days, an aid from Social Security that is included in the new law on early retirement and that will range between 4.5 and 82 euros per month. The objective of this extra payment is to compensate pensioners who retired early and who have a lower benefit compared to those who retire this year.

This supplement will benefit those people who retired between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2021. Those who retired voluntarily will have to have retired a maximum of two years before reaching the legal age, which in our country is 66 years old, and demonstrate that they have contributed for forty-four years and six months (except when the benefit received is less than 900 euros, a scenario in which 40 years will be enough).

Forced retirees and those who have had to retire due to an ERTE may also receive it.

Requirements requested by Social Security:

In the event of voluntary early retirement, the beneficiaries will be those workers who have pre-retired a maximum of 4 years before reaching ordinary retirement age between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2021.

The conditions are as follows: proof of at least forty-four years and six months of contributions; or, if the amount of your pension is less than 900 euros per month on January 1, 2022, proof of at least 40 years of contributions; or that the amount of the initial pension would have been higher if the new reduction coefficients that will be in force as of January 1, 2022, had been applied.

In the case of voluntary early retirement, the date of access must be at most two years before the legal retirement age.

There is no need to carry out any management; Social Security will directly update the pensions of those people who are entitled to the supplement.

how to apply

Retirees who meet the established requirements will not have to request anything, since it is Social Security that will be in charge of calculating and seeing which people are eligible to receive the complement in their pension.

Who will not be able to receive the 'extra pay' of March

But this 'paguilla' is not for everyone. Those who receive the maximum pension will not be able to receive this aid, since it has been established as an essential requirement to qualify for it that the pension be lower than if the reduction coefficients in force as of January 1, 2022 had been applied.
