Pedro Sánchez knows the damages caused by Gloria in Cantavieja (Teruel)

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, visited Cantavieja (Teruel), one of the towns affected by the storm, where he has not made statements to the media although he has visited a sports center and a sawmill that have lost part of the roof because of the weight of the snow

The president has been received in the local square of Spain at 16.30 hours by the head of the regional Executive, Javier Lambán, and the delegate of the Government in Aragon, Carmen Sánchez, among other authorities, and has subsequently greeted a representation of the troops that have been part of the emergency operation deployed this week in the area.

After exchanging a few words with the residents of the town, Sanchez has moved on foot to the sports center, from which part of the roof fell due to the weight of the accumulated snow, and the company Maderas Oliver Sorribas (Maolso), a sawmill that had just finished to expand the investment and whose roof also sank.

There he has greeted the workers and also the manager, Gerardo Oliver, who has conveyed his concern and to whom the president has assured him, as he has later indicated to the media, that he can be "calm" because the administration helps "they will arrive".

Sánchez has completed the visits he has made this Saturday to meet first hand the conditions of the storm in autonomous communities such as Aragón, Murcia and Valencia, and has committed himself in Benicarló (Castellón) to "speed up processing" of aid and damage assessment to channel financial resources.
