The groups that make up the Government and the PP yesterday rejected the non-law proposal presented by the Mixed Group in which it was requested to comply with the agreement signed last April with the strike committee to end temporary employment in the public administration. The deputy Vidina Espino defended before the Parliament that she was "deceiving" the workers and reproached that the fraud of law was not persecuted in the same way in the public sector as in the private one.

His proposal was only followed by CC, while the rest of the groups understand that the agreement is being fulfilled and wait for the progress of the state law. In this sense, he
The nationalists presented an amendment to establish criteria -within the framework of Iceta- to be adapted to the reality of the islands.

Deputy Socorro Beato recognized yesterday that despite the fact that the law represents a step forward, it does not give guarantees, which is why it is imperative to negotiate with the unions of the autonomous communities. In her opinion, the draft of the Ministry of Finance sets "a dangerous precedent" that can enter into regional powers, for which they demand "a Canarian solution" that is also in tune with European guidelines.

The rest of the Chamber agreed that the negotiation with the Canarian unions is not at odds with the basic guidelines. In this sense, the groups criticized the deputy for implying that officials could access their positions without going through any test, breaking the principle of equality.

The deputy Luz Reverón, in addition, accused her of denying the legitimacy of the sectoral table as a representation of the employees. In fact, the socialist Manuel Martínez argued that
four of the five unions present are in favor of moving forward with the law.

Espino had vindicated the strike committee as a negotiating body and joined their demands, which include putting merit and seniority before category. That is to say, valuing the people who have spent years occupying the positions of the Administration compared to the squares.

The spokeswoman for the Mixed Group warned that more than 4,000 workers are in temporary abuse in the Canary Islands, some with up to 27 years of seniority, and many over 55 who fear losing their jobs. In percentage terms,
the rate could rise to almost 40%, while the State's goal is to reduce it to 8% in a matter of three years, according to the deadlines set by the EU. The first step in that direction is to identify all those affected, but these are data that the Administration has not yet released.

On the other hand, the debate was not without controversy. Espino criticized that only the nationalist formation presented an amendment to his initiative, referring to the lack of interest of the rest of the groups in reaching a solution. Some statements that made Melodie Mendoza react from the ASG bench. Despite the fact that she maintained that she had also presented one, which turned out to be "in voce", the president of the Chamber, Gustavo Matos, denied that there was a record.
