Pablo Junyent, champion of the Canary Islands of the 56 Mathematics Olympiad - La Provincia


Pablo Junyent Hernández, student of 2nd Baccalaureate of the IB Diploma Program of the Arenas Atlántico School, has won, with 19 points, in the Autonomous Phase of the LVI Spanish Mathematical Olympiad.

The regional phase of the Olympiad It was held on January 17 in each of the University Districts of the Autonomous Community. And Pablo Junyent won first place, becoming the best canary of the classified for the National phase of the Mathematical Olympiad.

Therefore, Pablo, along with the two students who reached the second and third positions, may be part of the Olympic team that will represent the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands in the National Phase of the LVI Spanish Mathematical Olympiad, which will be held in Almeria from March 19 to 22, 2020.

The six best mathematicians in Spain who win this phase will participate in the International, which will take place in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, in July 2020.

They will also have the option of being part of the Spanish representation in the Ibero-American Mathematics Olympiad, which will be held in Peru in September 2020., in which we hope to see the Canarian student.
