Orange Spain has completed the appointment of executives responsible for executing the new strategic plan that the teleco deployed at the end of last year. The company headed by Laurent Paillassot has appointed Stéphane Varret as CFO and member of the executive committee of the French group’s subsidiary in our country.
The second telecommunications operator in Spain last November defined a new organization chart that, among other things, involved the creation of a wholesale business area, large account companies led by Julio Gómez, and a consumer division, under which the Orange, Jazztel, Amena, Simyo, Mobile Republic and World brands and directed by Diego Martínez, until then director of Finance and Control of Orange Spain.
The vacancy left by Martinez, who until now continued to perform the duties of financial director on a provisional basis until a substitute has been found, will be taken over by Varret, who began her career at the KPMG audit firm and joined Orange in 1998 , then still France Télécom. After holding different positions in management control and business development in different entities of the group in Paris, in 2008 he began an international career within the teleco in his division of the Middle East and Africa (OMEA), exercising different responsibilities in markets such as Senegal, Jordan, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Burkina Faso.
