The judge of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Los Llanos de Aridane has issued a ruling, notified to the parties on July 16, in which she estimates the existence of rational signs of fraud in a school of hostesses, called Air World Center, following the complaint filed by six of its students.
In the car it is related, "with the provisionality of the procedural moment in which we find ourselves", that the head of this agency contracted "with the intention of enriching herself" with 18 students the teaching of a cabin crew course during the from September 2014 to July 2015, "for a unit price of 3,750 euros", to be developed at the facilities located on Calle Real No. 62 of Los Llanos de Aridane, "knowing that it lacked prior administrative authorization from the State Aviation Safety Agency to teach this course in that center ".
The approval by the AESA "enabled only the center based in the town of Santa Cruz de Tenerife from the date of November 20, 2006 and the center based in the town of Santa Cruz de La Palma from October 13 of 2016 ".
In the hiring of the course, "the contracting students were made to believe" that the cabin crew course they hired "was approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and AESA for its development in the training center of Los Llanos de Aridane "and that if they successfully completed the course they would obtain the title," with the consequent financial loss of these students who paid 3,750 euros plus other travel and accommodation expenses for internships, and attended the course without having been able to obtain title".
The training center opened in Santa Cruz de La Palma was authorized after the students presented the complaint, as published by El Día at that time, taking as reference a report issued by the Civil Guard Post of Los Llanos de Aridane. . This space, located on Avenida del Puente, was used by Air World Center to offer the 18 people who had allegedly cheated the possibility of removing the title with greater facilities and in a legal framework.
The complainants, however, consider that they have already paid and attended the classes and the appropriate examinations to receive their degree, fulfilling the contract they had signed, without having to go back to the course offered to them in Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The judge has to continue with the processing of the proceedings, addressing the accusations so that within a period of 10 days they request the opening of an oral trial, requesting writs of indictment, without prejudice to the fact that they may exceptionally request the performance of the complementary proceedings consider essential to formulate accusation.
In this case is also to resolve an appeal lodged by the school stewardesses, which among other issues calls for the dismissal to pass the maximum time of instruction.
