Both the sub-delegate of the Government of Guadalajara, Ángel Canales, and sources of the Superior Court of Justice of that community (TSJCM) have confirmed on Wednesday the multiple sexual assault suffered by a girl of 12 years of age. Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara) a year ago. Legal sources confirm that the aggressors indicted are six: "Three minors, from 15 to 16 years old, and three adults".
The minors were sentenced to three years of internment "for sexual assault with the aggravating circumstance of being more than two those involved in the crime" in a center outside the province of Guadalajara, "where they remain"; one of them was under the tutelage of the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha at the time of the events. The trial of the three adults - one is in preventive detention (communicated and without bail) since last year and the others in freedom -, is still pending. All those involved, who have been nicknamed "the herd of Azuqueca" are of Maghrebi origin, according to the same legal sources.
The court that has opened the preliminary proceedings for these facts is the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Guadalajara, where it is investigated as a crime of sexual assault. In the judicial procedure corresponding to adults, which is processed as summary, there are three investigated. Two of them continue on provisional release with precautionary measures, including the prohibition of communication and a restraining order with respect to the minor.
According to the account of the events, on March 15, 2018, six young men between the ages of 15 and 20 caught the victim and a friend of theirs in a local park and took them to an abandoned building. They let the other child out and locked the 12-year-old girl in a bath for 45 minutes, where they raped her anally and vaginally for 45 minutes.
That same afternoon, explains the sub-delegate of the Government of Guadalajara, Ángel Canales, "the relevant arrests were made and all the aggressors were brought to justice." And he adds that, if it has not transpired so far, it has been because the usual line of the National Police and the Civil Guard in Guadalajara has been followed: "Sex offenses do not usually make press releases or press releases. In this case, the two things come together, a crime of sexual aggression against a minor. It is logical that protecting the victim is a priority ". Something that, according to other sources close to the case, has been tried from the first moment: "Also from the first moment, both she and her family had at their disposal a specialized team of psychologists and other specialists."
Sources of the Superior Court of Justice assure that "the phase of instruction is practically finished, being foreseeable that the investigating judge dictates auto of prosecution shortly, which would initiate the intermediate phase for presentation of writing of qualification for the future judgment".
