One deceased from covid and 31 new infections in the Canary Islands



The Canary Islands have verified 31 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 this Sunday that raise the accumulated to 95,658 and the death of a 72-year-old woman in La Palma who suffered from previous pathologies and remained admitted to the hospital has been reported.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health of the Government has explained that there are currently 896 active patients, of which 26 are admitted to the ICU and 95 remain hospitalized.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 16.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 41.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife Today there are nine cases with a total of 45,754 accumulated cases and 450 epidemiologically active cases; Gran canaria It has 36,477 accumulated cases, 18 more than the previous day and 250 active.

While, Lanzarote registers a new case with 6,948 accumulated and 72 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura it has 4,499 accumulated cases, three new cases, and 115 active cases.

La Palma it does not add new cases and has 1,109 accumulated and four active cases; El Hierro it does not register new positives, so its accumulated are 467 and its assets are five. For its part, La Gomera It does not add cases, so its accumulated are 403 and it remains without active cases.

Finally, until this Sunday a total of 2,173,254 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 42,436 correspond to yesterday.
