Madrid, Apr 10 (EFE) .- The Madrid model Olivia Martín has been chosen as the best model on the Madrid catwalk during the 73rd edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
With only a year and a half of experience on the catwalks and the first time she walked in Madrid, Olivia Martín (Madrid, 1996) has been a model for brands such as Versace, Hermès or Raf Simons. His next goal is to walk the runway 080 in Barcelona and then move to live in Paris, where he hopes his career will take off even more.
“It seems like a dream to me that they gave me the award. I did not expect it,” this Madrid-born woman raised in Tenerife told Efe that when she received the award given by L’Oréal Paris, she wanted to thank all those who have supported her in this short, but intense path, with a: “Viva la moda española”.
Martín has participated in all the parades that have taken place in Ifema, creators for whom he has had words of praise.
Olivia Martín, with a bob haircut, walks with a firm and confident step on the catwalk, making each design unique. However, for the day to day, she opts for “comfort. Basic, but elegant designs”, he points out.
A law graduate, she assures that she has no intention of wearing the toga, at least for now. “Fashion has always interested me and once I finished my degree I decided to follow this path”.
He is inspired by the designs of Prada or Versace and looks closely at the career of the Russian Irina Shayk, an example to follow.
Despite the pandemic, he looks to the future with optimism. “I’m very positive. I’m sure better times will come soon.”
