The former president of the United States Barack Obama (2009-2017) delivered Christmas presents to sick children at a Washington hospital today, visiting them wearing a Santa Claus hat and carrying a sack full of packages.
In a surprise visit of an hour and a half to the National Children's Hospital, the US exmandatario gave gifts to children who were in gambling rooms and also individually in the rooms, according to a statement from his office.
Obama gave the children puzzle puzzles, "Hot Wheels" games, drone vehicles and nail polish, according to The Washington Post.
Before finishing the visit, Obama greeted a group of doctors, nurses and employees, whom he thanked for his work during the Christmas holidays and with whom he sang some Christmas carols.
Obama already visited the National Children's Hospital with gifts on Christmas 2014, when he was president, while former first lady Michelle Obama did not miss the appointment in the eight years she was in the White House.
