Nissan’s net profit fell 87.6% between last April and December

The Nissan group announced Thursday that between April and December its net profit fell by 87.6% and its revenues fell by 12.5% ​​over the same period of the 2018 fiscal year.

“I am sorry to say that the results are worse than expected,” said Nissan Motor’s top manager, Makoto Uchida, in presenting the data at the firm’s headquarters, in the city of Yokohama, south of Tokyo.

In the nine months closed last December, Nissan reported that its sales in Japan fell 6.9%, in China they fell 0.4%, in North America they decreased 9.1% and Europe collapsed 16.2 %.
