NASA detects an asteroid that is “dangerously” approaching our planet

The asteroid will pass about 5.6 billion kilometers from Earth this February 15.

The asteroid, with the code name 2002 PZ39, has a diameter of between 440 and 900 meters and is considered “potentially dangerous”, so, if it collides with the Earth, it could have serious consequences on our planet. This element moves at a speed of 55,000 kilometers per hour.

The director of the NASA center has spoken with the Boston Herald and stated that “there is no risk or danger.” Paul Chodas also said that they have “followed this asteroid for years and we know its orbit very well.” In general, Chodas wanted to give a message of relief and tranquility, since he remarked that there was no need to worry about the asteroid.
