The fascination for the Viking does not find limits. There are themed shops that sell from horn-shaped jugs to pendants that mimic the shape of the Mjölnir, Thor’s hammer. There are also trends on networks such as Instagram, where a simple search for the hashtag #vikingo returns images mostly starring tall men with long hair and beards. But what is real in all this? Probably little. And, although the agents responsible for how we look at the past are multiple, there is one of special relevance: fiction.
