Mutua Madrileña has reported this Monday of an agreement with the manager Portobello Capital for the purchase of the ElParking and Imbric platforms, with which it seeks to advance the goals of its Strategic Plan 2021-2023 and place the insurer in a strategic position in everything related to the field of mobility. A line started with the entry into Movo’s capital in 2019, the Spanish micromobility startup. The closing of the operation is scheduled for the next few months and is subject to the authorization of the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC).
In this way, Mutua Madrileña has taken another step towards acquiring a key position in the changing field of mobility in line with one of the main objectives of its Strategic Plan 2021-2023. In this line, The parking It has almost two million users and is the leading platform in Spain in driver assistance services such as paying parking tickets on public roads, booking parking spaces, paying at gas stations, charging electric vehicles or toll collection. .
For its part, Imbric is a mobility platform ‘MaaS’ (Mobility as a Service) and integrates the different existing options of public and private transport (taxis, public buses, shared vehicles and parkings or parking meters) facilitating travel and payments, since it allows to do everything from the same application and through a unified digital wallet.
In this sense, from Mutua Madrileña, they have highlighted that “it allows both private users and companies to plan and hire all your routes online from day to day in more than 300 Spanish and European cities ».
Until now, both platforms were owned by Portobello Capital, which had them integrated into its investee Eysa, which will now focus on cities to offer comprehensive urban mobility solutions specializing in value-added services and combining technologies and business models for the efficient management of regulated parking, urban traffic or infringement management.
