The former president of Uruguay José Mujica visited on Wednesday the Montevidean funeral home where the remains of María Auxiliadora Delgado, wife of the country's president, Tabaré Vázquez, are watched, to accompany "the loneliness" that he will feel from now on.
"When you are the age of Tabaré (Vázquez), love is a sweet habit and what comes to us is loneliness," he told the press with the broken voice of Mujica, who was president of Uruguay between 2010 and 2015 .

Several members of the Vázquez Cabinet, such as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Guillermo Moncecchi, and the Minister of Defense, José Bayardi, among others, came to express their condolences to the family.
Along with them, political representatives of all trends, such as the presidential candidate of the People's Party, Edgardo Novick, the former vice president of the Government Luis Hierro (of the Colorado Party) or Senator Álvaro Delgado (of the National Party), union leaders or businessmen they accompanied Vázquez in the duel.
In addition, from the early hours of the morning, many others expressed their condolences in their accounts on social networks, in whose messages many highlighted Delgado's concern for social affairs.
