'Mr. Dotman ', the creator of the Pac-Man logo and graphics


The Japanese designer Hiroshi Ono, also known by the nickname Mr. Dotman and for designing the graphics and logo for the original Pac-Man video game, has passed away at 64 years of age.
"Hiroshi Ono has been struggling to recover from his disease, but passed away on October 16 ", has informed the Twitter account of information about the developer in a statement made public this Monday.
Ono, known as Mr. Dotman in reference to his popular large pixel based layouts, became popular working for Namco since 1979, where he created the Pac-Man graphics and logo, as well as other video game like Galaga and Dig Dug.
Several personalities from the video game sector have taken to social networks to offer condolences for the death of the designer and remember his work, as has been the case of Yuzo koshiro, composer of the Streets of Rage saga, or Katsuhiro Harada, producer of the Tekken series.
