After the commitment of the Island Council to clarify the authorizations of the tests and recover the Isla de los Volcanes Rally

Last Monday there was a
transcendental meeting of the president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, with the president of the RFEDA, Manuel Aviñó, together with the president of the FALP, Miguel Angel Domínguez. Also attending the important meeting were the Sports Minister of Lanzarote, Alfredo Mendoza, plus the organizer of the Isla de los Volcanes Rally, José Víctor Rodríguez.

In a statement issued yesterday by the Cabildo itself, the president herself explains the details of the
commitment acquired with the RFEDA and the FALP to resume motor racing activity in Lanzarote and its Insular Championship events, in addition to betting on the recovery of the Rally Isla de los Volcanes this same 2022 Season.

The FALP celebrates this news back to normality in Lanzarote, because it means that it will be possible to continue with the calendar approved for this year 2022 and that its most immediate event is
the Ascent of HariaJune 18. The agreement with the Cabildo de Lanzarote contemplates the regulation in time and form of the authorizations for the celebration of the different island competitions.

and with respect
to the Volcano Islandthe RFEDA will assess the recovery this season of the rally that should never have been cancelled, when the very organization of the CD. Evesport already had its celebration underway.

“We will also fulfill our commitments in Gran Canaria”

To begin the recovery work of the RTIV22, the president himself, Miguel Angel Domínguez, accompanied by the Minister of Sports Alfredo Mendoza, will travel to
the next appointment of the S-CER that takes place this Saturday in Pozoblanco, Cordoba. With the aim of contacting the teams and drivers directly in a personal way and convincing them to return to the Lanzarote rally.

Yesterday, after the meeting at the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the CD. Evesport, through its president José Víctor Rodríguez, communicated in a letter both to the Canarian Automobile Federation and to this Federation of Las Palmas, its intentions to continue with the organization of the competitions assigned for this season in Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, in the following terms: «We hereby inform you that once met with the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the RFEDA
we have reached an agreement for the reactivation of the sports activity of the Evesport Sports Club, scheduled for this season in Lanzarote. Therefore, we will also fulfill our commitments on the island of Gran Canaria."

A necessary parenthesis

We recall that this club decided to make a "parenthesis" in its sports activities, while the problems that led to the cancellation of RTIV22 were resolved, explaining in the letter
«which has been necessary to have sufficient guarantees to organize the events committedwe are sorry for the inconvenience and we apologize to the automobile community for the alarm it has generated.

The tests assigned on the island of Lanzarote are: Rise of Haría, Rallysprint Tomás Viera,
Tinajo Slalom, Yaiza Rallysprint and Rally Isla de Lanzarote, scoring events for several Regional, Provincial and Insular category championships.

On the island of Gran Canaria: Rally de Tierra de Gran Canaria (Regional), the slalom on land of the island event planned in Pozo Izquierdo and the Jorge Santana Memorial (Regional).
