Motorcycle sales rise in June for the seventh consecutive month, down 7.6%


The registrations of motorcycles, mopeds, tricycles and quads increased in June for the seventh consecutive month, 7.6% compared to the same month of 2018, to 21,083 vehicles, reported Monday the National Association of Companies of the Two Wheels Sector (Anesdor).

The mopeds continue in clear ascent, with 31.1% of units registered (1,812 units).

By type of use, field motorcycles registered a decrease in sales of 17.7% in June, while road motorcycles increased by 7.8% and scooters by 6.3%.

By brands, Honda (18,484 units), Yamaha (12,591) and Kymco (8,987) occupy in this order the first positions in sales until June, with a significant upturn in Silence from the eleventh place to the sixth (633% more sales) thanks to the "top" of June of its Silence S02 electric model.
