The Mossos d'Esquadra have evicted a score of activists of the environmental organization Greenpeace that blocked the celebration of the business conference on coal, the World Coal Leaders Network 2018, within the Pullmann Skipper hotel in Barcelona, ​​to demand the abandonment of this mineral .

The activists have broken into the hotel around 9:10 am today and have risen to the podium of the speakers, where they have displayed a banner with the slogan "Coal destroys our lives" (The coal destroys our lives), in an action that It lasted until the arrival of the Mossos d'Esquadra, around 12 noon.

The environmental organization wanted to denounce the consequences of burning coal and accuse the industry gathered in Barcelona as "the main contributors to climate change and air pollution" and also ask European governments to eliminate carbon subsidies and that they "plan immediately" their elimination.
