A total of 548 Chinese citizens have been quarantined in Russia due to the coronavirus which, according to the latest data, has killed 1,380 people in China, Russian authorities said Friday.
“For February 13, 66 medical observation units with 7,615 beds have been deployed in 66 entities of the Russian Federation, where 548 Chinese citizens have been quarantined,” said a statement from Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian defense agency for the consumer.
The majority of Chinese citizens who are in quarantine were admitted to medical centers in the far eastern regions of Russia, bordering on China.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, two cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Russia today, as the World Health Organization (WHO) called the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
This is, underlines the statement, of two Chinese citizens who overcame the disease and were released last Wednesday.
