The consultation, which is not binding, has been carried out with the help of 4,000 volunteers and with "absolute normality", according to the organization, which has highlighted that there have been no "conflicts or relevant incidents", although "few" with " anti-democratic forces that tried without success to prevent the referendum”.
In this sense, they have pointed to the Provincial Subdelegation of the Government in Alicante and the municipal governments of Martorell, Hospitalet de Llobregat and Salou, in Catalonia. In addition, they have denounced that in the municipality of Los Alcázares (Murcia) "the action of a fascist group prevented voting at a polling station."
Among the parties that have supported the consultation are Podemos and Izquierda Unida, whose main leaders, Ione Belarra and Alberto Garzón, respectively, are part of the Government.
