A total of 703 exhibitors will participate this year in the 26th edition of the International Edition and Book Fair (SIEL) of Casablanca, which will take place between February 6 and 16.
The Moroccan Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hasán Abyaba, presented this new edition in Rabat today, whose guest of honor will be Mauritania, and said that the show “has consolidated an international position”.
There will be 100,000 works exhibited during the ten days of the show, mostly in Arabic but also in French, English, Spanish and other languages.
The program includes 380 activities including book presentations, poetic recitals or debates, as well as 79 specific entertainment activities for children.
Among the most anticipated acts of the fair will be the delivery of the National Reading Prize, the Ibn Batuta Prize for travel literature and the ceremony honoring the intellectual personalities of the year in Morocco.
