more than 166,000 people show up to cover the 4,005 fixed post offices

A total of 166,340 people have participated in the selective process being carried out by Correos to fill 4,005 fixed job positions in Spain, the state company said.

The job offer is intended to perform functions of delivery of deliveries, logistics tasks and customer service in offices in all Spanish provinces.

Madrid, with 831 seats, is the autonomous community with the largest number of places, followed by Catalonia (826), Andalucía (654) and Comunidad Valenciana (419).

The offer of the posts corresponds to the replacement rates approved for the year 2017 and 2018, as well as 574 of those contemplated in the 2018-2020 Multiannual Agreement.

Specifically, 2,618 for distribution tasks, 725 for classification agent and 662 for customer service in offices.

This agreement, signed with the unions CCOO, UGT, CSIF and Free Trade Union in December 2018, contemplates the replacement of 11,200 jobs that have been completed by 80% in a period of nine months.

The CCOO union said that the new workers selected will join the company in the first four months of 2020 and that this offer is the largest in Correos since 2004.
