Moncloa returns to hide behind security reasons to deny data on a private trip by Pedro Sánchez

"For security reasons, it is not possible to provide individualized information on the protection mechanisms assigned to the different institutions and personalities of the State," the Government argues in the response it has sent to the PP deputies who were interested in this issue.

The 'popular' Emilio Del Río Sanz and Mar Cotelo wanted to know details about the cost and effective deployment of material and cash resources that had to be activated for Sánchez to attend the wedding of Miguel Gómez, the brother of his wife, Begoña Gómez, with the Dutch interior designer Fayette Proper.

In its response, to which Europa Press has had access, the Executive reminds that the Royal Decree of last June, which restructured the Presidency of the Government, establishes that the protection of personnel, buildings and facilities of the La Moncloa Complex corresponds to the Department of Security of the Presidency of the Government.

HE ALREADY SAID IT WAS CLASSIFIED INFORMATION

Likewise, it emphasizes that the functions and actions necessary for the "integral security" of the president and of other persons and facilities determined by "the director of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior", depend on this department.

"For security reasons – continues the Government's response – individualized information can not be provided on the protection devices assigned to the different institutions and personalities of the State."

Last September the Executive already refused to offer data on the displacement of Sánchez and his wife, Begoña Gómez, to Castellón, where he had attended the International Festival of Benicassim (FIB), alleging that the reports on movements of military aircraft, as well as the protection plans of authorities and passengers are "classified matter".
