Moncloa and the CNI investigate the hacking of the cell phones of several ministers and senior officials

The Department of National Security of the Presidency of the Government and the National Intelligence Center (CNI) are investigating the "hacking" of mobile phones of several ministers and senior officials that took place during the month of August, as reported by the newspaper The confidential and military sources have confirmed to EFE.

One of those affected has been the Minister of Justice, Juan Carlos Campo, whose mobile phone was "hacked" and was practically blocked and unusable. Other ministers and government officials suffered similar attacks, although only in some cases was the "hacking" completed.

Those affected received messages asking them to click in an address. If they did, they exposed all the contents of the mobile to the attackers, including contacts and all the stored material. In addition, from that moment on, mobile phones were blocked.

The senior officials of the Executive have received security indications for their communications after this attack.
