Moda Cálida celebrates its 25th anniversary with the European market as its goal



Madrid, Sep 17 (EFE) .- The swimwear fashion show “Gran Canaria Swim Week By Moda Cálida” has presented a new edition this Friday, within the framework of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which will be held from 21 to 24 October.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Minerva Alonso has recalled that it is a catwalk that was born at the proposal of the designers themselves and that “has grown over time”, also in the investment that this edition amounts to one and a half million of euros.

Since its inception “it has taken a qualitative leap in its promotion and support for new creators”, thanks – it has reviewed – to having strengthened its link with the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME) and to the commitment of Ifema, organizer of the event, in your endorsement.

“Our goal is to place Gran Canaria on the European map of swimwear”, a catwalk where designers from all over the world can attend.

Nuria de Miguel, director of MBFWMadrid, has redounded in this line, who has indicated that for two years this catwalk has advanced in its objectives “incorporating international brands, where the quality of the product is valued”.

De Miguel has outlined that it is a special edition and has highlighted the importance of creating a channel of national and international buyers, one more start to make this catwalk the “international event of European swimwear”.

TCN, Guillermina Baeza, Pedro Palmas, Carlos San Juan, Dolores Cortés and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada are some of the firms participating in a catwalk that will also host a children’s swimwear fashion show.

With a clear commitment to diversity in the choice of models, the catwalk will reward emerging talent, sustainable talent and the best collection.

Days before the initial parade, coinciding with the World Day Against Breast Cancer, on October 19, the solidarity parade will take place, “We Swing Together”, “a specific event”, said Minerva Alonso, with bathroom designs for women who have suffered from the disease and whose proceeds will be donated to research.

Eduardo López-Puertas, general director of Ifema, has stressed that Moda Cálida is the “great event” for swimwear in Europe and that its objective in supporting this catwalk is the development of this area of ​​the fashion industry.

“We want it to translate into a competitive advantage and turn it into a gateway of international scope.”
