The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has condemned a total of 15 years and six months in jail to the national exseleccionador of combined tests of athletics Miguel Ángel Millán Sagrera as the author of crimes of sexual abuse continued to two young people who were trained when they were minors on the island of Tenerife.
The ruling, notified this Wednesday, also includes his special disqualification from working as a trainer, plus the prohibition to develop sport activities with minors. It forces him, as well, to participate in a sexual orientation training program.
Millán, in Pre-trial detention since January 2017, was used according to the failure of its proximity and the desire to progress in the athletics of young people, who trained in a club on the island, to commit abuses.
The first case occurred between 2010 and 2011, when the victim was between 13 and 14 years old, and the second in 2015.
The judgment may be appealed before the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court.
