Mexican singer Vicente Fernández dies at 81

The famous Mexican singer Vicente Fernández died this Sunday at the age of 81 after being admitted to the hospital after a fall at home, as confirmed by his family through a publication on social networks.

"Rest in peace Mr. Vicente Fernández. We regret to inform you of his death on Sunday, December 12 at 6:15 am. It was an honor and a great pride to share with everyone a great musical career and give everything for his audience. Thank you for continuing clapping, thank you for continuing to sing, "said the family in a publication along with a photograph of the artist.

The interpreter arrived at a private hospital in Guadalajara at the beginning of August after suffering a fall that caused a blow to his neck, injuring his spinal cord and leaving him without movement of his arms and legs. Due to this, he had to undergo emergency surgery that caused respiratory deterioration and left him connected to artificial respiration, for which he remained in intensive care for about six weeks.

In mid-September, Fernández improved and remained in a common hospital room to receive physical rehabilitation, but in early December he was re-admitted to the intensive care area because his health condition deteriorated.
