Members of five polling stations in A Coruña and Ourense are late

The constitution of the almost 4,000 electoral tables in Galicia for the holding of the general elections has taken place normally, except in five cases, three in A Coruña and two in Ourense, where their members have not yet arrived, sources of the Government Delegation

Three of the tables are in the province of A Coruña, in Abegondo, Ponteceso and the Herculean capital, and two in Ourense city, although the schools where they are located have opened their doors normally.

On this rainy day on Sunday, more than 2.7 million people are called to the polls this Sunday and can do so at 2,416 polling stations, the same as in the previous elections in April, where 7,908 polls have been arranged.

To this end, Galicia will have 11,862 board members, of whom it feels they have a hearing impairment and have requested sign language interpreters, including a table president in A Coruña.

In addition, a person with intellectual disability has been designated for the first time as a substitute member in Noia (A Coruña), where the 94 electoral colleges of this judicial party will have a voting aid device for people with intellectual disabilities that is part of the pilot project started this year and promoted by the Amicos Foundation.

The 119 kits requested by voters with visual disabilities in Community schools will also be provided, a figure four times higher than the last elections.

The state device designed in Galicia for these general elections will have almost 10,000 people, including representatives of the Administration and agents of the State Security Forces and Bodies.

With their votes, Galicians will appoint 23 representatives in Congress and 16 in the Senate, for which 26.2 million ballots will be available.
