Mediaset España obtained a net profit of 146.9 million euros in the first nine months of the year, 0.6% more than in the same period of the previous year, and recorded in the third quarter the best EBITDA in this period since ten years.
Between January and September, the gross operating result (EBITDA) stood at 193.7 million, which shows a fall of 2.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, and reached 34.5 million in the third quarter, the highest achieved in this period in the last ten years.
For its part, revenues totaled 696.4 million, 0.7% less, in a period marked by the Russian football world, while advertising revenue fell by 0.6% to 657.2 million of euros, according to the accounts sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV)
In the first nine months, the company achieved a share of 43.7% and maintained the total operating costs figure at 502.8 million euros after acquiring the rights to issue the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
At the end of September, the company achieved a net positive financial position of 129.2 million euros, 29 million more than in September 2017.
Telecinco (14%) was the most watched channel in the period and in the digital area Mediaset España achieved 6,256 million minutes watched by a monthly average of 11.7 million unique users and 1,700 million watched videos.
