Married asks Torra to cease immediately or Sánchez forces him if he does not

The leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, has claimed on Friday that the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, must "cease immediately" after the agreement of the Central Electoral Board (JEC) for his disqualification and, if he does not, Sánchez " must force him. "

This has been expressed through a message on his Twitter account, in which he celebrates that the PP has managed to get Torra to "lose his deputy seat" after the JEC has accepted the appeal of this party.

And he adds that now Torra "must immediately cease as president of the Generalitat" and, in case of not doing so, the acting president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, "must oblige him in compliance with his constitutional obligations."

The Board has agreed on Friday to order the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, to withdraw his credential as a regional deputy, which implies his disqualification.

The JEC thus estimates the appeal presented by the PP, and partially those filed by Citizens and Vox, which called for the immediate disqualification of the Catalan president after the conviction of last December 19.

The PP spokeswoman in Congress, Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, has also reacted to this agreement with a tweet in which she says: "The disobedient Torra, disabled thanks to the PP".

For its part, the spokeswoman for Citizens, Inés Arrimadas, has received the resolution as "great news" and affirms that while Pedro Sánchez "agrees with the separatists who break the laws", Ciudadanos uses all the resources "to enforce them" .

"We continue to work for our democracy," Arrimadas said through his Twitter account after learning about the JEC agreement that estimates the PP's appeal and partially those filed by Citizens and Vox.

Vox also welcomes the decision: "Once again ... thanks Vox," the spokesman for the party in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, has written on this social network.
