Marc Márquez has achieved his fifth Moto GP world championship by winning the Grand Prix of Japan and achieving his eighth victory of the year. Márquez just needed to stay ahead of Andrea Dovizioso to secure the title in the premier class. The race was dominated by the Italian, but Márquez began hostilities with ten laps to go. After beating Dovizioso, he stepped on the sand at the exit of a curve and lost the race head. During several laps, Márquez waited for his moment, until he found a gap and he returned to place leader. From there, his strategy was to try to withstand Italian attacks. In one of them, Dovizioso tried too hard to brake and went to the ground, which made Márquez world champion, his fifth title in Moto Gp and his seventh world title with only 25 years.
