Marc Márquez was proclaimed world champion this Sunday in Motegi (Japan) when there are still three great prizes to finish the 2018 season. This is his fifth MotoGP title in six seasons in the premier class. A World Cup that has been based on a magnificent number of victories (8) and an unusual consistency since the course started in Qatar last March.
In the 15 great prizes disputed, so far Márquez has climbed 13 times to the podium. His main rival, Andrea Dovizioso, has achieved three victories and seven podiums.
